Meyer Jewish Academy as its new headmaster. Ichilov comes to the Meyer Academy with more than 20 years of experience in Jewish education as a headmaster, teacher and curriculum developer. Ichilov’s previous positions include development director, Jewish family educator, synagogue administrator and camp counselor. Most recently, Ichilov was the head of school for the lower and middle schools at the Jess Schwartz Jewish Community Day School in Scottsdale, Ariz. Before that, he was head of school at the Jerome Lippman Jewish Community Day School, along with being the executive director for the Summit Agency for Jewish Education in Akron, Ohio. “After an extensive year-long national search, there is no question that Nammie is the right candidate for the job,” said Roslyn Leopold, who served as the head of school search committee chair. “His energy, enthusiasm, and experience will help our school continue to grow and flourish. I am confident that Nammie and his family will be a wonderful addition to our Meyer family and a tremendous asset to our entire community,” Meyer Academy President Steve Ellison said. Ichilov is optimistic about the upcoming school year. “There is a wonderful buzz and energy on campus these last few weeks,” Ichilov said. “The anticipation and excitement for the upcoming year is building, and preparations for our children’s amazing Meyer experience are being put into place.” Ichilov earned his master’s degree in Jewish education from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and his educational specialist degree from the University of Central Florida. He is a Jim Joseph Foundation Fellow with more than 15 years of leadership positions in Jewish education. Ichilov and his wife are the parents of two daughters, who will be attending the Meyer Academy.
